Hello.

My name is Mandy and I am running for re-election for 27J School Board! As a parent, current board member and business owner I am extremely proud of the work we have done and I look forward to continuing serving our community.

I care about

Keeping quality teachers in our classrooms - we must attract and retain high quality teachers by providing reasonable and competitive pay.

Pathways to graduation - we call it the 3 E's: Enrolled, Employed or Enlisted!

Expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities - every student should be on a pathway to a good paying job.

Space - as the fastest growing district in the metro area we are in desperate need of more schools.

Creating good, happy humans that are thoughtful and have empathy and care about their neighbor and community.

Keeping our board local and out of special interest groups - maintaining a school board that is collegial, respectful, and collaborative, focused solely on what's best for kids.

The choice of 27J Teachers

Meet the candidates endorsed by your 27J teachers! So incredibly proud to serve the

teachers and staff in our District and grateful for their support!

This past May I was honored to speak on behalf of the Board at the PVHS Graduation ceremony (and bonus I got to give my son his diploma!). It was so emotional (spoiler alert yes I cried in front of 2K people!) and not just because my son and so many of his friends that I have known since they were in kindergarten were graduating, but in watching those kiddos cross the stage you realize in that moment THIS is what it's all about. All the long hours and late nights and hard work - across the board from the students, parents, teachers, staff, board members and community - it's all about getting to this moment. Because we know that a high school diploma sets them up for success in whatever path they choose.

And we have so much to celebrate in 27J!

Graduation rates have continued to rise each of the past 3 years!

27J graduation rates exceed the state average!

27J has the highest graduation rate in Adams County!

27J graduation rates rank 6th in the metro area schools!

AND ALL WITH THE LOWEST PER PUPIL FUNDING!

YES on 5A &5B!

Our 27J teachers, students and staff are doing amazing things! Yet despite having award winning students, schools and programs, 27J Schools remains at the bottom of the stack of school funding. In fact, 27J has the lowest per pupil funding in the Denver metro area and the 3rd lowest in the State. The result: 27J students must settle for less than their peers.

Join me in voting YES on 5A and 5B to support our schools!
